Seeing Red is an immersive, hands-on watercolor workshop that explores the expressive power of a single color. In this focused session, participants will learn to create a compelling monochromatic painting using a palette composed of 90% red watercolor, discovering the surprising depth and versatility possible through shifts in hue, saturation, and value.

Aleta will guide artists through essential techniques such as layering transparent washes, manipulating warm and cool reds, and creating contrast without relying on additional colors. The workshop also highlights the importance of composition—how placement, balance, and focal points become even more impactful when working with a limited palette.

By the end of the workshop, each participant will complete a finished painting and gain a deeper understanding of how to use color intentionally, boldly, and with confidence.
